Everest North Face expedition

An Everest North Face expedition is a challenging and demanding undertaking that requires extensive preparation, training, and experience. The trip typically takes about 2 months to complete and involves climbing the North Face of Mount Everest in Tibet, which is the less popular but more technical route compared to the South Face in Nepal.

The journey also starts in the city of Kathmandu, Nepal, from where climbers will fly to Lhasa, Tibet, to acclimatize to the high altitude. From there, they will make their way to the Rongbuk Monastery, the starting point for the expedition.

Altitudes for Camp Site

The climb to the summit of Everest involves several stages, with climbers establishing several higher camps along the way. The Base Camp situated at an elevation of 17,000 feet (5,180 meters), because from there, climbers will trek to Camp 1, located at around 21,000 feet (6,400 meters).

From Camp 1, climbers will ascend the North Col to reach Camp 2, located at around 23,000 feet (7,000 meters). Camp 3 situated at around 27,000 feet (8,230 meters) on the North Col, because from there, climbers will make their final push to the summit.

The climb to the summit of Everest is physically and mentally demanding and requires climbers to well-prepared and experienced. The North Face of Everest known for its technical challenges, including steep snow and ice slopes, rockfall, and high winds.

The cost of an Everest North Face expedition can vary depending on the guiding company and the level of support and services provided. Typically, the cost can range from $30,000 to $100,000 USD or more.

  • Day 01:  Arrival In Kathmandu And Rest At The Hotel
    Upon your arrival at the airport, you will need to obtain Nepal Entry Visa at the counter. After these procedures, one of our representatives will meet and greet you and transfer you to the pre-booked 3-star hotel for you to rest. You can freshen up and enjoy your evening in Thamel.

  • Day 02-03: Official Formalities; Permit Obtaining, And Trip Preparation

    On the second day, we will fulfill the required documentation and official formalities. We will also obtain the necessary permits. Traveling to Tibet requires us to obtain VISA which we will do these days.  Meanwhile, you may go shopping for personal stuff that you might need during the Expedition.

  • Day 04: Drive To Timure (1740 M) From Kathmandu 

    Our journey starts early in the morning after a warm and fulfilling breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to Timure, a small village in the Gosaikunda Rural Municipality. The drive will be quite tiring as we travel on bumpy roads up the hills, but nature’s beauty will deviate the pain towards tranquillity and peace.

  • Day 05: Drive To Kerung (1960 M)

    After staying overnight in Timure, we will then resume our journey to Kerung. Kerung is a village in the Solukhumbu District and serves as a trading route between Nepal and China. The road leading to Kerung is equally adventurous and bumpy.

  • Day 06-07: Drive To Tingri (4300 M) And Acclimatize

    After Kerung, we will then cross the border and enter Tibet, the autonomous state of China. We continuously drive uphill and finally reach Tingri. Tingri is an old settlement in Tibet that used to be an important trading point for farmers in Nepal and Tibet. The beautiful meadows, rivers with fresh water, and picturesque villages make Tingri a beautiful place to stop and acclimatize.

  • Day 08: Drive To Chinese Base Camp (5200 M)

    From Tingri, we drive to the Chinese Base Camp for Mt. Everest. Unlike South Side, the base camp is facilitated by roadways in the Northern Side. This saves a good number of trekking days allowing us to prepare well for the Expedition.

  • Day 09-11: Acclimatization At The Base Camp (5200 M)

    The key to a successful expedition is proper rest and acclimatization. As we gain significant elevation through driving to the base camp, we must let our bodies adapt and acclimatize with the high altitude before heading to the higher camps. Therefore, two days will be spent at the base camp where for rest purposes.

  • Day 12: Trek To Intermediate Camp (6200 M)

    After acclimatizing for two more days, we will then trek towards the Intermediate Camp. Our luggage and logistics will be carried by Yaks and Porters till the Intermediate camp. At the altitude of 5400 m, we will set up our intermediate camp with full board tented service.

  • Day 13: Trek To Advanced Base Camp (6500 M)

    After the intermediate camp, we then climb up to the Advanced base camp set up at 6500 m altitude. We will segregate the gear and equipment required for climbing and prepare for our climb to the Everest summit.

  • Day14-44: Climbing Period for Everest

    After proper acclimatization and training at the Base Camp, Intermediate Camo ad the Advanced Camps, we aim towards higher camps. We set up multiple camps above the Advanced Base Camp to ease the summit push and allow our bodies to acclimatize well. We will conduct multiple rotations between Camp 1, Camp 2, Camp 3 and finally wait for the summit push. During the climbing period, our team of Sherpas will set up tented camps, prepare hot meals and facilitate all logistics required for climbing and expedition.

    On the summit day, we start as early as midnight to make it to the top before afternoon. Upon reaching the summit, we will be rewarded with the glorious views of Mt Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Makalu, Mt Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Sishapangma, and many giant peaks in the periphery.

    After a successful ascent to the Pinnacle of the world, we will return back to the Advanced Base Camp.

  • Day 45: Trek Down To Intermediate Camp

    With the joy and feeling of victory, we then trek back to Intermediate Base Camp.

    After the Intermediate Base Camp, we will take a ride back to Tingri, the old settlement in Tibet.

  • Day 47: Drive From Tingri To Kerung

    After staying overnight in Tingri, we then take a ride to Kerung, the border of Nepal and China, and rest overnight.

  • Day 48: Drive Back To Kathmandu

    Following the same rugged, rocky path that we took earlier, we drive back to Kathmandu and relax in our hotel.

  • Day 49: Spare Day In Kathmandu

    Kathmandu is a beautiful city with numerous attractive destinations. There are many heritages listed in the World Heritage List as well. You can go sightseeing around Bhaktapur, Patan, Bouddhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath Temple, or even roam around in the streets of Thamel trying some exotic cuisines. You can get beautiful souvenirs in Kathmandu that you can take back home for your loved ones.

  • Day 50 : Final Departure

    If you have not signed up for any other Add-ons Adventure packages, it’s time to bid you farewell. One of our representatives will drop you off at the airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure.

  • Tips for Base camp staff will be US$ 250.00 per members collect by leaders at BC and handover to Sirdar or cook.

  1. Company Responsibility:
  • The company is fully responsible to follow up the above-mentioned service include list as well as service exclude list i.e. provided to our clients.
  • The company is responsible to make an introduction between Member and Sherpa, guide and others Nepali staff.
  • Company is fully responsible to make a proper management of whole expedition and also to provide a qualitative service to Member and staff according to Service list.
  • If any emergency problem happens to our clients and staff, we will be fully on standby to bring up the good solution to its problem as per the requirements.
  1. Clients Responsibility:
  • We suggest our clients to focus on safety, security and training – company will not be responsible if anything unpredictable accident happens due to self-carelessness of the clients.
  • Each and every client must do their emergency helicopter rescue and Medical insurance having coverage of minimum US $25000. Besides they must also do medical and travel insurance for own safety. We also would like to suggest all of our clients to make trip cancellation insurance in case of natural disaster in the mountains which is unpredictable and knows no timing. Even we can’t guarantee our health problem so, it is best to stay safe side ourselves.
  • Service includes will strictly be followed in case if clients need extra services – Extra cost will be added.
  1. Mode of Payment:

If the clients make the payment through Bank transfer, then bank transfer charge has to be borne by the clients.

  1. Payment method:
  • 40 % as booking – Advance payment has to be done as confirmation.
  • The rest 60% Payment has to be made upon arrival in Kathmandu before the starting date of Expedition.
  1. Cancellation Policy:
  • If the Expedition is made cancel before 40 days than 15% of Full payment will be deducted whereas 85% of the payment will be refunded.
  • If the Expedition is made cancel before 20 days than 50% of full payment will be refunded where as 50% will be deducted.
  • If the Expedition is made cancel before 5 days of the Expedition begin than 20% of full payment will be refunded whereas 80% will be deducted.
  • No refund is made after the departure of the Expedition – and if any natural calamities or disaster will occur or member personal health problem take place after expedition start the same condition will be applied.
