    In the morning after having a leisurely breakfast, we drive further to beautiful town Dulikhel and sightseeing around it and have a short hike to Namobuddha where we can visit a ancient Monastery
    Which is one of the most important places of lord Buddha. Dhulikhel is a beautiful city located approximately around 30 kms from Kathmandu. It falls in an ancient trade route between Tibet and Nepal. It is a beautiful hill station from where you can get magnificent view of the panoramic mountains. After eating breakfast you will head towards Namo Buddha a quaint monastery on top of a hill.

    Legend has it that the monastery was constructed by a king in memory of his youngest son, who offered his flesh and blood to satiate a starving tigress who had just given birth to three cubs. After his selfless act the son was reborn in a higher realm. Slowly pilgrims started visiting the monastery; they were afraid of wild animals because of which they chanted the words ‘Namo Bhuddhaya’ which means ‘I take refuge in Buddha’ hence, the place came to be known as Namo Buddha.

    After exploring the serene environment of Namo Buddha you will head towards Banepa. Banepa is a typical example of a Newari town with many temples and traditional houses.     Davis Fall also known as Patale Chango in Nepali. This fascinating waterfall is named after a tourist who fell and died in it. Near the fall is a cave of Gupteshwor Mahadev (Temple of lord Shiva). The water travels through a natural tunnel before emerging from here.
    Phewa Lake is the second largest fresh water lake of Nepal. In the lake you can see the beautiful reflection of Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. It has many inlets in monsoon including Harpan Khola.     Lumbini associated with the birth of Lord Buddha is of extreme archeological importance and also a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. It is said that Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became Buddha the Englightened One, was born in the gardens of Nepal’s Lumbini in 623 B.C. The main shrines of Lumbini are the newly restored Mayadevi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar behind the temple and the Lake Shakya Puskarini where Mayadevi is said to have bathed before delivering the little Buddha into the world.Several other places near Lumbini are linked with stories connected to Buddha and Buddhism. Lumbini is about 300 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. Bus and flights to Bhairawa which is about 22 kilometers from Lumbini, are available from major cities.
